Our Patrons

The RT Hon Lord Maude: Francis Maude was Minister of State for Trade and Investment from 11 May 2015 to 11 April 2016. Francis was previously Minister for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General from May 2010 to May 2015.

 

Mark Burrell DL: He was the High Sheriff of West Sussex between the year 2003-2004  (more details in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Sheriff_of_West_Sussex) and remains the Deputy Lord Lieutenant to represent HM Queen Elizabeth II in West Sussex.

 

Gavin Henderson CBE: He was Principal of Trinity College of Music from 1994 to 2006. He has been President of the European Festivals Association, and Chairman of the British Arts Festivals Association. He was a founder council member of Arts Council England, and founded Youth Music (the National Foundation of Youth Music), the first and only delegate distributor of Lottery Funds, which he chaired for some eight years.

The Earl and Countess of Lytton: 5th Earl of Lytton. Now he sits as a crossbencher, i.e. not a member of a political party and works part-time in the construction industry. (more details in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Lytton,_5th_Earl_of_Lytton)

 

Sir Charles and Lady Burrell: Owner of Knepp Castle, He lives at Knepp CastleWest Sussex, which was built around 1808 by John Nash. He has managed the 3,500-acre Knepp estate since he was 21, and he is now internationally known for the rewilding project that he has undertaken there. Lady Burrell is Isabella Elizabeth Nancy Tree.

 

Lord Lieutenant Mrs. Susan Pyper: Mrs Susan Pyper was appointed Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex in November 2008. She is jointed president, Sussex Community Foundation and hosted HM Queen Elizabeth II as her representative on 30 November 2017 at Chichester Festival Theatre.

 

Clare Davison: Owners of Sedgwick Park a Grade Two listed stately home, where the inspiration for Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland spent her honeymoon, are being prosecuted for letting the house fall to ruin. John and Clare met in 1976 when they were both living in London, but did not marry until 1994. Clare had a successful career as an interior designer, refurbishing city properties, whilst John was a broker at Lloyds. This enabled him to take on financially ambitious developments in London.

 

Mark and Tina Scrase-Dickins DL: Mark is a former High Sherrif for West Sussex and respresents the Queen as a Deputy Lord Lieutenant for West Sussex.   Mark lives on his families ancestral home of over six hundred years on his estate of Coolhurst.   Shipley Arts Festival hold an annual Concert in Mark and Tina’s private Chapel.  The estate will harvest it’s first crop of pink sparkling wine in 2018.

Life Friend - Mr. John Snelling: John Snelling has had a career in publishing including contributing the works of Winston Churchill, and he retired as a senior manager to Novatis.
